glad to hear that you're alright.
also: those are pretty fabulous boots.
I know! I was all excited to wear them in public. Since I'm not gonna wear the outfit, now, I'll let you guess what the costume was. Hint: I also acquired a pair of Sai as costume props.
Those boots are too awesome not to wear, perhaps we can get you a wheelchair? ;p
p.s. I'm very glad you're ok and didn't break anything. Maybe I need to make you the bubble wrap suit I've been threatening Broken with for years?
I'll just have to wear 'em some other time, like, I'll come out to Bunker or something. :( This costume would look *silly* in a wheelchair.
If it's what I think it is, then the box office tally (and negative critical onslaught) would have crippled her...or you can be post-stabbing version...
Hahahaha. But, I wasn't gonna be the movie version of her. I'm no Jennifer Garner!
I'm glad you're okay! Damned stairs. I think you should take Sarah Liz's tip and pad your house!
You can be known as Broken Connie-Lynn! =P
I hurt my knee for many months when I was at LBCC... They called me "Gimpy" for years after.
Today Erich called me "Gimpy-Lynne."
Ouch! Sorry 'bout that, Gimpy-Lynne. ;)
Oh, and I'm glad you're mostly ok, if bruised and twisted up.
Glad you're okay! And stop hurting yourself...that's my job!
Stairs are the devil's tool. We should know.
EVIL STAIRS!
Clearly I should get one of those motorized chair things installed for those three steps.
indeed !!
she was just jealous of us .. and our brokenness.
No way! I'm OLD SCHOOL broken! I got my first long-term injury in 1989, when I developed arthritis from playing leapfrog! You kids are SUCH newcomers to the "busted-up-body" scene! You come with your big fancy diseases and messed up hips that I *know* you got at "Broke Topic" and "Disease Outfitters" and try to act all broken! I am SOOOO sure!
no way man - I am old school through & through .. I make my own diseases : p
knee problems started in 1988 (12ys) yo .. dislocated my knee while riding a bike ..
although that was not my first brokenness.
Oh, the shame! I have been caught out as a broken poseur! I'll never be cool again!
I don't know myabe you count as an OG broken ..
back when I first started getting broken they didn't even have name for my dieases .. they had to make them up as they found them ..
omg I know you feel yesterday but i have to whine. my f'ing back is killing me today .. i think it is the cold!
OUCH!
I hate the cold. It always makes my arthritis get all gimped up. I usually get a week in November, when the weather gets really bad, that I just can't walk at all.
luckly i have missed the arthritis bullet (i am not sure how with everything that is wrong)
but the cold does hurt!
I remember the week I moved away from seattle. it was so cold my BONES hurt. it was horrible. I am glad I didn't live there through the winter
sorry to hear you're still in pain, but glad to hear it's not too serious... feel better soon...
Thanks. Yes, no secret broken necks or anything. *whew*
OMG that reminds me - my brother was in IRAQ in the stupid war and when he was packing up to come home - something feel on his head and he was like .. whatever shake it off
turns out he broke his neck!
I think it's safe to assume you won't be coming by at 11am tomorrow then?
Yeah... sorry.
If I can sit without pain tomorrow, though, you're welcome to come by and I'll give you a chair massage. But, um, only if it doesn't hurt when I sit.
Ouch! Hope you're feeling OK.
Thanks! The side muscles feel better today but the middle of my back still hurts when I sit.
Owch! I'm really glad you're going to be OK.
yikes! take good care of yourself, sweets!
Whatcha watchin'? I just found a copy of this at the thrift store the other day...or I could show the Nasubi tape (the naked guy from Japan)...or what have you...
Er... Thanks for the offer of the bad Don Knotts movie, but I think I may have seen it on TV as a child. Or at the drive-in. *shudder* :)
I'm watching: Ghost World Triplets of Belleville I (heart) Huckabees Lemony Snicket
Dude! BAD? Nevuh!! I watched it often as a child...it was like buried treasure when I found it there amidst the refuse of the thrift store...
But alas...I have not seen any of those films...when are ya starting?
I'm starting ... well, as soon as I get bored with taking care of paperwork, and messing around on the computer. :)
HA! You replied to your own comment, so I didn't see this till just now.
Call me, cause I don't have your number on my new phone...
I don't have your phone number! Call 626.398.3738, that's my house.
hot lead and cold feet rocks!!!! it's on my amazon wish list...
DUDE! I friggin' love iiit. I was just thinking of it the other day too and wondering what the hell it was called...I was resigned to never seeing it again...and then BAM there it was! Maybe we should have a viewing party!
If you lived closer I'd come by and watch some movies with you. I'm taking a mental health day off from work, in hopes my neck and head will feel better.
We really should start a Broken Camp next year. Did you hear about Camp Shit's All Broke from a couple of years ago?
Hey, have a good mental health day, and I hope you feel better.
Yeah, I heard about "Camp Shit's All Broke." Pretty funny. We should call our camp "Camp Cripple." Our motto could be "HELP US PUT UP OUR TENTS!"
1. So glad you're ok, or as ok as you can be under the circumstances. 2. Boots... *drool* Don't worry there's always another reason to dress up and wear those boots 3. I wish I could go over your place to keep you company. But I live in Disneyland and that's really far from Chez CL. Oh yea, and this job thing I have. boo!
May all your pain go away...
Hee hee, thanks, SqueakyT!
Aww, thanks!
Right now I'm waiting for a recruiter to call me back so that I can get high again. :) I don't wanna be all painkillered out when I talk to someone on the phone about work.
Ugh! I'm glad no bones were broken. But you have my sympathies.
Hey, this is Jill. It's nice to see you have an lj too. I'm glad you're doing okay, though the fall sounds trecherous. If you need anything, send word, and we'll help.
I'm still in awe of the play you were working in, btw.
Anyway, take care!
Jill
Nice to see you, and thanks for the offer of help and the compliment about the play!
